I didn't name my company because I am full of myself or my products, I'm just a regular guy who likes to make things and hope you'll think that they are, if not 'boss', then pretty nice.
Every now and again, people I meet, like a clerk, will say 'Hey, boss!' and I stop and take my drivers license out for a moment of levity. "That is really someone's given name, um,.. me!"
True fact: I once met Robin Williams socially and before telling him my name, he simply said "Hey, Boss.." Couldn't convince him it was actually my name. I did NOT take out my license that time, somehow that might've felt creepy.
Although 'Really Boss' sounds like an overpromise about me and my products, they are in fact made by a guy who really IS a 'Boss', like, legally and all. Now, I know that name dropping I met Robin Williams doesn't really help my claim of being humble, but cripes, I have Robin Williams as an example of this! I'm going to mention it.. I try not to hide my light under a bushel. And let me say Mr. Williams was a really charming person, but he barely looked me in the eye, like a kid whose parents were making him be polite to the dinner guests.
So, yes. I'm really Boss. I hope you like my name and my products...
Great post very entertaining. Of course I know you a regular dude and have no pretensions to be otherwise. Good lluck on your new venture. BTW I need a fedora that will stand out, as you say. You got hats?
Couldn't have asked for a better name! But why would you anyway?
